Wer sind die Lenker auf dem Weg in ein vereintes Europa?

Die Bürger? Die Regierungen der Mitgliedsstaaten? Das Europa-Parlament? Die Industrie? Die Banken? Die Börsen? Die Verwaltungsapparate? Die Militärs, die NATO? Bürgerinitiativen und Nicht Regierungsorganisationen?

Was sind eigentlich die Ziele?

Ökonomische Wettbewerbsfähigkeit im globalen Wettbewerb? Politische und militärische Stärke? Kulturelle Vielfalt? Ökologische Unversehrtheit? Lebensqualität? Nachhaltigkeit?

Wer bestimmt die Ziele?

Wie sollen sie umgesetzt werden? Und welche Rolle kommt PlanerInnen dabei zu? Können Sie das Zusammenwachsen Europas konstruktiv unterstützen? Welche Instrumente stehen Ihnen zur Verfügung? In wessen Auftrag werden sie tätig?

Diese Fragen sollen im Mittelpunkt der CORP2002 stehen und sich durch alle Programmpunkte ziehen.

Citizens? National governments? European parliament? Industry? Banks? Administration? Stock-markets? NATO? NGOs?

What are the major goals?

Economic competitiveness? Political and military strength? Cultural and ecological richness and diversity? Quality of life? Sustainability?

How shall these goals be realized?

And what´s the role of professional planners? Can they support European integration? What tools can they offer? Whom will they work for?

These and related questions shell be the main topics for CORP2002.

 
Zielsetzung
objective

Das seit 1996 jährlich stattfindende Symposion CORP - Computergestützte Raumplanung beschäftigt sich mit der Rolle der Informationstechnologie in der und für die räumliche Planung und hat sich zu einer der größten europäischen Veranstaltungen zu diesem Thema entwickelt. Sowohl die Möglichkeiten, die sich PlanerInnen durch den aktiven Einsatz neuer Technologien eröffnen, als auch der Einfluß des technologischen Wandels auf die Tätigkeitsfelder und Perspektiven der Planung sowie die “Zukunft des Raumes” werden thematisiert.

Abgesehen vom Leit-Thema “Wer plant Europas Zukunft” sind folgende Themenschwerpunkte für die CORP2002 vorgesehen:

EDV als Werkzeug für PlanerInnen Datenquellen für die Raumplanung Neue Medien - Kommunikationsinstrumente im Planungsprozeß Stand und Perspektiven der Raumplanung in der Informationsgesellschaft Auswirkungen der Informationstechnologie auf den Raum

 

CORP Symposions are held annually since 1996 and have become a major european conference dealing with impacts of information- and communication technologies on urban and spatial planning. New possibilties for using technology as planning and administrative support tools, perspectives of planning disciplines within the “information society” as well as “the future of geographical space” are presented and discussed.

Beside the special topic “Who plans Europe´s future” following topics will be dealt with:

Information & communication technologies as planning support tools Data sources for spatial planning “New Media” as communication tools in planning processes Future perspectives for planning within the “information age” Impacts of information and communication technologies on physical space

Das Symposion richtet sich an EntscheidungsträgerInnen aus Wirtschaft, Politik und Verwaltung, an Technologie- und DienstleistungsanbieterInnen, Wissen-schafterInnen und natürlich an PlanerInnen und Angehörige verwandter Disziplinen sowie an Studierende - verbindendes Element ist der Raum-Bezug.

Die CORP ist eine in höchstem Maße INTERDISZIPLINÄRE VERANSTALTUNG, das verbindende Element ist das “Denken in räumlichen Dimensionen und Zusammenhängen”. Exemplarisch seien einige Fachgebiete aufgezählt, aus denen Vortragende und TeilnehmerInnen kommen: Raumplanung, Städtebau, Geografie, Ökonomie, Verkehrsplanung, Informatik, Biologie, Sozial wissenschaften, Architektur, Landschaftsplanung, Geodäsie, uvm.
 

CORP addresses key actors in administration, politics and management, consultants, planners, service providers, researchers and students involved in “spatial thinking”.

CORP is an interdisciplinary event with participants coming from various fields, e.g. spatial planning, geography, economy, transportation, computer science, architecture, human and social sciences, surveying and much more, with a common interest in “geo-spatial relations”.
